We are transferring our campus network services from a centralized hub to a distributed arrangement over a number of unix-based servers. We have a primarily Macintosh environment, and have found appropriate MAIL and NetNews interfaces for the Macs. What I'm looking for now is information on an NNTP newsreader program for the PC, preferably one with a built-in TCP driver. This is to be run on clients connected via both Appletalk-IP gateways and a few directly on ethernet. Free or shareware, of course, would be greatly preferred, but any insight or advice on any version of such a program would be welcome. Most of the PCs in question are AT-class machines with 640k; we also have about a dozen model 30s and model 50s. Thanks in advance... - Matt Wall Swarthmore College Computing Center wall@campus.swarthmore.edu
