[comp.protocols.tcp-ip.ibmpc] Usin BYU IPX driver and windows

DMPM%DUKEMC@NCSUVM.CC.NCSU.EDU (James Dryfoos- PostMaster) (06/14/91)

I have allows loaded the clarkson packet driver and the BYU's IPX
shell and NET4 so that I can run telnet and novell at the same time.
This works great. However, I have just load MSWindows 3.0 and told
it I have novell access, but when I start win I get

VIPX.386 could not load since a proper version of IPX was not in memory
In order to access a NetWare file server from Windows,
be sure to run IPX and SHELL programs before starting Windows.

I do have the BYU IPX running and can in fact login onto novell.
Is there a way to make windows work with above config?

Am also intersted in using (if I can find it) WINQVT. Can I make
this work with above? Anyone comments on WINQVT? Any FTP able sources
for it or alternate packages to look at?

Thanks, Jim Dryfoos
