[comp.protocols.tcp-ip.ibmpc] bootpd, rarpd wanted

ayres@beasley.ucs.orst.edu (Bill Ayres - UCS) (06/13/91)

I have been casting about, unsuccessfully so far, for implementations of
a bootp server and a rarp server that will run on a DOS based PC. Are
these available, and if so where?

KA9Q NOS has bootp and arp (not sure if it is rarp).

There is a bootp server available from tacky.cs.olemiss.edu in /pub/lpd
that works on a pc. It is based on NCSA telnet and supports packet drivers.
It also does lpd and ftp. We have been using the bootp and ftp parts
and it seems to work fine.
