[comp.protocols.tcp-ip.ibmpc] WD8003 16 bit support SCO TCP/IP

CERNOHL%CSPUNI12@PUCC.PRINCETON.EDU (Ivo Cernohlavek) (06/19/91)

I'm using WD8013ep EtherCard PLUS Elite16 - a newer version of
WD card, with SCO UNIX syst.V rel 3.2v2, it works O.K.
( IRQ 2, I/O addr. 240, mem. addr. D0000, 16kB ).
I think that 16-bit WD8003 also can be used, but i cannot test it.

But I have some other problems with SCO TCP/IP:

1. I was not successfull to build kernel with two WD boards,
there are errors, probably both in space.c and Driver.o.

2.I have some "WD8003 compatible" card, it works good with
NCSA telnet, Clarkson telnet, with Clarkson packet driver, but not
with SCO TCP/IP, driver dosen't find this card.
It's not very serious problem, it's better to buy original cards,
but i wonder, what's the differenc between original and clone.

Can anybody answer my quuestions ?
                                      Thanks !
