pwb@newt.phys.unsw.OZ.AU (Paul W. Brooks) (06/28/91)
Just a short note to say "thank you" to all the people who kindly told me where to go (:-) to find the CHARON package. Most people pointed me to omnigate.clarkson.edu, where both versions (3.1 and 2.0a) are available by ftp. Thanks to: cintra4@u.washington.edu (Dave Lange) stubbs@uwslh.slh.wisc.edu hughes@logos.ucs.indiana.edu (Larry Hughes) bkc@omnigate.clarkson.edu (Brad Clements) (and he should know!) A special mention must go to blknowle@frodo.jdssc.dca.mil (Brad Knowles) who shamed me by doing what I should have done in the first place, by contacting his nearest archie server and sending me the output detailing approx. 10 places where charon could be found. Now that archie server sites are available there may be no excuse to wast net bandwidth with "can someone tell me where is ....." messages again (except maybe "where/what is the nearest archie server! ") :-) Cheers. Paul Brooks |Internet: pwb@newt.phys.unsw.edu.au Uni. of N.S.W. |If you have trouble sleeping, try lying on the end of Kensington NSW 2033| your bed.
