The Hypercard documentation from ADPA is the primary source. I believe it is
also available for downloading from the major timesharing services.

Dear Chris - Information on writing XCMDs and XFCNs is available in the HyperCard Technical Reference Package. This package is available from APDA - Apple Programmers and Developer's Assoication. APDA is a membership orgranization which is the channel through which Apple provides technical documentation to developers. APDA can be reached at the following address: APDA 290 SW 43rd Street Renton, WA 98055 206-251-6548 -- Jordan Mattson UUCP: ucbvax!mtxinu!apple!jordan Apple Computer, Inc. There is a document from APDA that has some information. However, I also have the Appendix on disk that talks about writing XCMDs, along with the samples that the manual has. I sent them up comp.binaries.mac, but am not sure if they ever made it up. I'll post them again. -- Apple's HyperCard Grievance Center "Give us your bugs, your comments, your gentle criticisms..." I can recommend the APDA documentation, but the code included is good only if you work in MPW Pascal. You will do well (particularly if you program in LightSpeed C) to pick up the documentation and sample project ("flash") that can be found in the Hypercard directory on GEnie. The same can probably be found on CompuServe or other BBS's. Go get 'em! Disclaimer: I have no affiliation with any of the aforementioned. I got the docs, and they worked :-).
