One of my colleagues finally received a long-awaited Rodime "45 Plus" drive, and we quickly started putting up a working environment. This drive comes preformatted, and with the disk named "45 Plus". HyperCard started exhibiting some peculiar behaviour when switching between stacks, and it turns out that a stack pathname which begins "45 Plus:folder_name:etc" is reduced to "stack 45" somewhere within the mind of HyperCard. It is a bit of a shock to get the standard file-open dialogue box asking 'where is card x of stack 45?', when pressing the exit button from the help stack! Easy to get round, just re-name the disk, but I do not recall *anywhere* seeing a restriction forbidding volume (or folder) names to beginning with non-numerics. If someone from Rodime is out there, perhaps they should be aware that "45 Plus" is not, in practice, a good name for this excellent disk. Comments, anyone?
