From the (unique) response to my last posting, I'm convinced that my dumb question was even more stupidly asked.
I wanted to create a button which when pressed would open an APPL, say Word, and present the standard SFDialog box ALREADY AT THE DESIRED DIRECTORY. Since I
forgot to mention this, the (unique) kind reply was a tactful RTFM
Now that my APDA package has arrived, and I've downloaded Steve Maller's
"Filename" (Thanks!), it seems that some sort of XCMD will be necessary. BUT,
will the "Open document with Word" script ruin my best laid plans to set the
proper directory first? (and ask "where is document?" from the root.)
I would really appreciate an answer before I try to spread my wings on the File
Manager. This is especially true since the workaround of a card for each folder works quite well now.
