From AppleLink ...

"A new version of HyperCard--Version 1.1--will begin shipping just after
Macworld Expo/San Francisco.

"HyperCard 1.1 is designed to be compatible with Macintosh foreign language
systems for Europe and the Far East. In addition to these changes, version 1.1
offers two new features, as well as general improvements in robustness. Version
1.1's new features are:
1. A new property, 'TextArrows,' allows users to control the way HyperCard uses
the arrow keys on a Macintosh keyboard. The arrow keys may now be used both to
navigate a stack and to move the text insertion point in a field.
2. The Macintosh 'Undo' feature has been extended to deleting cards. After
selecting Delete Card, users may choose Undo from the Edit menu to cancel the
deletion.
3. Three of HyperCard's stacks have been enhanced, and buttons for importing
and exporting text have been added to the Button Ideas stack.

"Authorized Apple dealers, licensed User Groups, and Apple Field Sales
Representatives will receive a HyperCard 1.1 Update disk containing the new
version of HyperCard, and new Phone, Area Codes, and Datebook stacks. A fourth
stack is included which explains version 1.1's new features. This stack also
has a button which will update users' original Home stacks, and the new import
and export buttons.

"Authorized Apple dealers, and others licensed to distribute the upgrade, are
required to verify legal ownership of HyperCard by the person requesting the
upgrade. The user's right to an upgrade may be demonstrated by showing the
licensed distributor either:
o an original 'HyperCard Startup' or 'HyperCard and Stacks' disk
o a sales receipt for a Macintosh CPU dated after August 11, 1987"
