The ZRT-80 looks good as low cost terminal. But I still have a few questions. Can it be connected to a video monitor with one of those funky coax connectors on the back? Input to this monitor is probably composite. It's one of those professional type Sanyo monitors. What does the ZRT side have? Coax? RCA jack? Can anyone recomend an inexpensive 1200 baud modem for use with the ZRT? What sort of configurations do you folks have? -- UUCP: ...{decvax,ihnp4,allegra}!seismo!trwatf!root - Lord Frith ARPA: trwatf!root@SEISMO "And he made the stars, too, and the world is one of the stars"

The video comes out a connector that has composite video (sync & video), hsync, vsync, composite sync, and straight video. And all of these inverted too for those really funky monitors. I still contend the best way to use one of these things is to put it into a "dead" terminal that has a working CRT and power supply, and at least a little phosphor left on the screen. > Can anyone recomend an inexpensive 1200 baud modem for use with the > ZRT? What sort of configurations do you folks have? Any 1200 baud modem would work since the serial ports are RS232, however, if there is no computer system between the terminal and the modem I would recommend the ProModem 1200 with option #1 (not the alphanumeric display the other one) As it provides essentially a communications program like Modem7 in the modem. The option is not all that useful if you are driving the modem with a computer. --Chuck -- - - - D I S C L A I M E R - - - {ihnp4,fortune}!dual\ All opinions expressed herein are my {qantel,idi}-> !intelca!cem own and not those of my employer, my {ucbvax,hao}!hplabs/ friends, or my avocado plant. :-}
