I have an interesting question about HC handling of events. If a mouseDown event is posted by an external routine, will it be picked up by HC as a mouseDown message? Are there any ways to generate messages asyncronously from outside HC and have a message handler intercept them from within HC. An ideal way to do this would be to have HC pass any APP1EVT thru as a message type EXTERNAL with the message field as a parameter. This makes it much easier to interface HC with the outside world without polling in the idle loop. Any ideas on how to become aware of outside events without polling for them? Any help would be appreciated.
