I agree that we should have some FAST built in functions for replacing strings and deleting carriage returns and the like. Until we get them, 1.2 does offer one feature that helps somewhat. If you turn on the the Auto Tab feature in a field, and say the field is only one line high, when you hit the return key you will tab to the next field and the return character will not be entered into the field. If a field is several lines high, returns are entered into the field on all lines but the last line. Dan Allen Apple Computer
