[comp.sys.mac.hypercard] HyperCard 1.2.1 compaction

I just got the HyperCard ver 1.2.1 upgrade from ComputerLand the other day
and noticed that I can not compact a stack.

I tried several times, one time I knocked the SCSI port off...having to 
physically turn the HD & the Mac off/on to get the SCSI working.

EVERY TIME I attempt to compact the stack with this edition of HyperCard,
the beach ball twirls once then freezes.  The whole system is locked.

All I did was copied the source from my Master to the HD.  

Did I do something wrong, or, is this source/original code corrupted?
