Regarding the above, Does anyone have or know where to get them? Is this a strange question? I'm a new Mac owner & would like to start programming my own MIDI applications. Hypertalk seems like a cheap and easy to use programming environment in which to start. Eventually, I'd like to learn to use the Toolbox but my impression is that there is a steep learning curve there, where programming in Hypertalk is more likely to provide quick gratification. I'd appreciate any suggestions. Dave Fagan genrad!otter!daf

Version 1.2r of the Hypercard Developer's Stack (a real must) has been recently distributed on info-mac. You should be able to get it from the archive servers macserve@irlearn.bitnet and macserve@pucc.bitnet. The Stack is a real joy, as it includes dozens of XCMDs, XFCNs, card and button scripts which have been published through the nets this year. However be warned that the stack has a size of 400K (with just a few background pictures). -- Danny +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Mail : Danny Schwendener, ETH Macintosh Support Center | | Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, CH-8092 Zuerich | | Bitnet : macman@czheth5a UUCP : {cernvax, mcvax}ethz!macman | | Ean : macman@ifi.ethz.ch Voice : yodel three times | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+
