[comp.sys.mac.hypercard] HyperWindows product announcement

anson@spray.CalComp.COM (Ed Anson) (09/28/88)

Due to the interest expressed recently on the net, I am posting the
following product announcement:

                HyperWindows (tm) from Tulip Software

HyperWindows is a set of XCMDs that adds color graphics windows
to your HyperCard stack.

HyperWindows includes four new commands, which enable scripts
to create and control new windows in front of HyperCard.
Hypercard remains active, and continues to run normally behind
the windows.

Each window's contents can be drawn from a PICT resource in the
stack, or from a separate PICT file. A command is provided to
paste a picture from the clipboard into your stack. A PICT file
can be created by most drawing programs.

A script can control the location and size of a new window, and
can close it at any time. The user can also drag, size, scroll,
and close the windows if permitted by the script. Windows may
overlap in any way, and when previously obscured portions are
exposed, they are redrawn.

Full color and multiple displays are supported on the
Macintosh II, including optional palette control for scanned or
painted images. Yet compatibility is maintained with the
Macintosh Plus and SE.

HyperWindows will be available from APDA, beginning with the
October catalog. The suggested retail price is $59.00.

Site licenses and commercial distribution licenses require an
additional fee. Custom modification and consulting services are
available.

(HyperWindows is a trademark of Tulip Software. HyperCard is a
trademark of Apple Computer, Inc.)

DISCLAIMER: This announcement does not represent an endorsement of the
product by my employer. I have a personal financial interest in the
product.
