Does anybody have experience with the 10 MB hard disk offered by Express Systems in Schaumburg, Illinois ($500 without controller) or the 20 MB hard disk manufactured by MicroScience ($649 from PC Source in Austin, Texas)? Any information at all on these or other *inexpensive* drives will be greatly appreciated. Besides reliability, I'm interested in whether they are excessively noisy (high pitched whines I can do without) or any problems having to do with AT compatibility. Thanks in advance.. I bought the 20MB drive from PCs Limited for $695 complete (with controller). I don't remember seeing PC-Source advertising one for $649...you might want to check with them...usually PCs Limited is cheaper. Anyway, I also traded in one of my floppy drives (it has to be a full height Tandon or CDC, working) for $80 off...so my cost was $615. I'm very happy with the drive. My system is noisier than it used to be, but I don't mind the sound: its more of a fan noise than a high-pitched whine. I hear that the sound varies somewhat between drives, though. -------
