[comp.sys.mac.hypercard] Where to post stacks or XCMDs, etc.?

englandr@phoenix.Princeton.EDU (Scott Englander) (12/04/88)

Should stacks, etc. in binhex format be submitted to comp.binaries.mac
for posting?

There was a comp.binaries.hypercard group. The former moderator had a bad
connection, and was not able to successfully post a lot of the time. I offered
to take over the group, and did post several stacks. However, I have since
been informed that the group was killed due to lack of interest. If you would
like to see such a group again, send a note to Gene Spafford, and then put the
matter to a vote --- I would be willing to act as moderator again, and I still
have some stacks that I wasn't able to post before the group died.

Here at CWRU we still get comp.binaries.mac.hypercard, with posting now and
then. I don't know who the moderator is, but this would be the logical place
to upload stacks, XCMD's, etc.

I have been acting as moderator for the last few months, and I have posted
a couple of stacks. The group has not been removed from the distribution lists,
so some sites still get the postings. I would be glad to collect hypercard
binary files, and make them available for FTP from our archives. If the group
is then officially revived, I will post the files.
