[comp.sys.mac.hypercard] Is color necessary?

I think Dennis makes an exellent point about large screen support and having
it translate to scroll bars for the rest of us. I have always wanted to paste
or create bigger then screen graphics into a Hypercard screen. I have also
wanted to be able to configure a page size card for printing. Perhaps the
best of both worlds would be to have both the standard card and a European
page size card. The European size card would have scrollbars. Most of the
things I do fit into the standard size cards {I'm not sure if its because
I want everything seen at once or Hypercard has tought me to think small}
but there are times when I would give about anything to be able to have
a larger then screen size graphic or to do a full size landscape print of
things residing in multiple fields on multiple cards. To be able to build
and print a full page form. That is the kind of thing that version 2 dreams
are made of.

Looking at what I wrote, I think ruther then a large card, what I really
want is a scrollable picture {canvas} object that can handle a larger then
screen graphic, and some kind of print manager that would allow me to set
up a full page form. Then have the form callable in a script. Then I would
be able to write a script that at the push of a button would be able to
select a certain author defined form, and place text from different fields
on different cards {different stacks too?} into predefined fields on the
form. Other then that, I really don't feel confined by the card size.

Colour? what do I care about colour Hypercard? I have a Mac Plus. If..
on the otherhand I had a colour MacII I couldn't possibly survive without
colour.
