I saw a copy of HyperLink magazine at the local computer store here in Portland. At $4.95 for 61 pages, I thought the price was a bit high. MacTutor is that much with twice as many of pages. I am wondering if anyone has bought this magazine, and is it really worth the $4.95 newstand price. David Hatcher

>I am wondering if anyone has bought this magazine, and is it really >worth the $4.95 newstand price. I've bought it. Don't bother. None of the hypercard magazines are worth bothering with to date. They're also all having problems with regular publishing schedules for various (generally financial) reasons, so I definitely don't recommend subscriptions. About the only one I've seen worth thinking about is Macinosh Hands On, formerly Nibble Mac. It's formerly a magazine for MS Basic people that found a new market to target and has gone heavy into Hypercard. It's a little too gosh-wow for my tastes, but at least you know the next issue is actually going to come out.

I have a subscription to HyperLink magazine, but I will probably let it lapse. There's some good stuff in there, but it's really not worth the steep price. Jim Taylor Microcomputer Support for Curriculum, Brigham Young University BITNET: taylorj@byuvax.bitnet INTERNET: taylorj@yvax.byu.edu
