I'm a student who programs for the Academic Computing Dept. at my school. Last year I wrote a language stack for the international students here. The International Studies department started using it this term, but they had a problem. We have about 25 Macs in an Appletalk network with an SE server. Both Hypercard and my stack were on the server. You can start Hypercard on every Mac on the network, but when you try and open other stacks from the home stack, "Too Many Files Open" errors appear on about the 18th Mac to try it. This doesn't seem to happen with other programs on the server, so I'm assuming it has something to do with Hypercard, Appletalk, and/or servers. Does anyone have any info about this kind of problem? Why, how to get around it, etc? Please post or email any info to me. Thanks, -Lynn Wood -- \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ Lynn S. Wood \\ "Darn it!
