[comp.sys.mac.hypercard] Date Conversion

davide@cs.qmc.ac.uk (David Edmondson) (06/27/89)

1.2.2 still has a bug left over from the first release relating
to UK/US date formats.
Converting the date from long or abbr format to a short date
works fine, the result is a correct UK format date. i.e.:

Tuesday, June 27,1989 --> 27/6/89

However converting the short date back to a long assumes it was
a US format date:

27/6/89 --> Saturday, October 14, 1989

To do the conversion right you have to swap the day/month in a
script before converting. If it can get it right going into a
short date can't it do it the other way?
