[comp.sys.mac.hypercard] macBinify and deMacBinify

I recently received a HyperCard stack that happened to contain the
XCMD "macBinify" and the XFCN "deMacBinify".  I didn't see any
documentation on these XCMDs, but by the name I would assume that
they are a form of binhex.

Is this assumption correct?  What parameters do these functions
take?
