format disks. Any information/available programs/etc would be
greatly appreciated.
There is a public-domain program for reading standard single-density
IBM 3740 disks. It's available from SIMTEL20 as:
Filename Type Bytes Sectors CRC
Directory MICRO:<CPM.DSKUTL>
3740UTIL.LBR.1 BINARY 58496 457 = 1C9H 502EH
