I know that Hypercard allows you to OPEN "application" and start it up... but what I am starting up is an IBM turbo pascal program that would like to pick apart parameters passed to it when it gets started. I have converted the program to run on my Mac and I want to use Hypercard to gather up all the parameters and start the program; passing the parameters. Others have suggested that I just write an ASCII parameter file and have my pascal program read it... I think there must be a better way. I can write a XCMD that "executes" a filename but all the examples I've seen simply take the filename to be one string of type STR255... (sorry if this sounds confusing) So how about it... how can I use hypercard or an XCMD to start up an application program AND pass it a parameter string too? -John Spady, Forest Grove, Oregon.
