The print capabilities of HyperCard are really nothing. There is "labels" option in the report, but is it really so that i cannot even choose the font HyperCrad is using? Labels would be nice for address labels, but the font is too small. Sorry, not answer, but more printing questions: I have a big stack and I would like to print a report containing only some of the cards. I've seen a script likle this: open printing with dialog print 163 cards close printing but that's for cards. I want a report (with it's pretty sofisticated options (though no font selection...)). My manuals doesn't say much about printing (except with other applications). If you know what to do, please give me (and probably others) an answer... I have just posted a stack to comp.binaries.mac that is designed to overcome some of the printing limitations of Hypercard. The description with that posting is as follows: ------------------------------------------------------ Stack Dumper 1.0 By George Coulouris Plug: This should solve some of the problems that people have voiced about the weak printing facilities of HyperCard, at least as far as printing the text in stacks is concerned. What it is: This stack contains scripts that enable you to extract the text from any HyperCard stack and format, edit and print the text using MSWord (Version 3 or Version 4). Stack Dumper generates files that can be processed through the "Print Merge" facility of MSWord to produce fully-formatted reports from HyperCard stacks. All of MSWord's formatting facilities can be applied to produce documents from stacks. The table construction facilities of Word 4 are especially useful when printing the contents of stacks that contain multi-field cards. The stack contains documentation. ----------------------------------------------------- If you can't wait to get it from comp.binaries.mac, it's also available by anonymous ftp from guest@cs.qmc.ac.uk. The file is called "stack.dumper". Or I'll be happy to mail it to you.
