I have a modest (one of my first attempts) running in a hospital office on a Plus with 40mg hd. I got a report last week of an error message at sort time (sort by CardName which is assigned from a field, and sort by keyword which is supplied by the user): Unexpected error 1777. Sorry. And that's it. I haven't been able to duplicate the error on the test stack I am running, but the office people using it are still complaining. I suspect it may not be the stack at all, though they swear the disk isn't full, etc., all of the obvious things. No mention of this error message number in any sources that I have. Any ideas? -- abbabbo@uchimvs1.bitnet | Bitnet abbo@tank.uchicago.edu | Internet ...!unnet!mimsy!oddjob!tank!abbo | uucp

Or, better yet, why does HyperCard not have standard errors that most humans can read? Rick Eames
