I have developed a stack (HC 1.2.2) in which I need to hilite the line that is clicked on in a scrolling field. Sound easy enough, however, HC acts very inconsistently in this type of situation. If the scroll of the field is 0 and I click on a line I can hilite that line very nicely using the "clickline" function and the command "select line clicked of field". However, if I scroll down in the field, click on another line and use the same command, the line is hilited, but for some reason the hilited line is moved off the visible part of the scrolling field and you must scroll down to see what has been hilited. I've temporarily solved the problem by unlocking the field and using a click and shift-click combination at the clickloc to hilite the line clicked on. Because of some new developments in this particular stack, I would like to be able to use the "select line clicked" command to hilite lines in a scrolling field. Is this a bug in HyperCard or does someone know of a way to solve the jumping out of view of a hilited line using "select" in a scrolling field. Thanks, Lorinda Brader Penn State University LB7@PSUVM
