I've run into a very strange problem that hopefully someone has a solution (or at least an explanation) for. I'm using HyperCard as a front end menu for a networked lab. The users click on a button to launch an application such as Word, Excel, etc. The problem is that when more than one person tries to run the same application, they get a "The following application is damaged or busy." message. This does not happen if multiple users run the same application from the Finder. In fact, if the application has been launched from the Finder first, then multiple users can launch it from HyperCard. Conversely, if it was first launched from HyperCard, attempting to launch from the Finder results in the "damaged or busy" message. Has anyone run into this?
