I've got a rather interesting problem regarding a rolodex-type HyperCard stack. Everything was working fine until one day when I came back from being away for a couple of days, and now when I try to open my stack, I get an error message that states "New file format requires later version of HyperCard" No problem, I thought - just try to open it with version 1.2.5 - - - nope it didn't work ... neither did HyperCard 1.0.1, 1.2.1, 1.2.2 ... nothing! My theory is that the part of the file data that records the version number of the HyperCard program that the stack was created with has been corrupted. Now, I'm not to anxious wait until version X.X of HyperCard that satisfies the corrupt data requirements comes out. So I'm pleading to the great gods of UseNet - - please help me recover this very critical stack !! I would be more than appreciative !! Thanks in advance, Sam -- Samuel C. Blackman !
