Is there an xcmd/xfcn that can make a resource of type TEXT automatically, like the xcmds that do this for PICT? Or is there a general purpose xcmd that will add any type of resource to a stack? I can do this myself with ResEdit, but I need something that can be transparent to someone else using what I am working on and I need it to happen within HyperCard. I've been using Jay Hodgdon's TextDialog XCMD (part of the Showdialog Package) and am also working on an XCMD which takes a HyperTalk container and turns it into a 'disposable' TEXT resource. I make the resource on the fly, and then dispose of it when done. Great for feeding back interactive stuff to a user. Although, I am probably going to add a switch to the external which would make the resource permanent, that way, one could edit the text in HyperCard then send it off to the resource fork where it is a little more secure from novice users. -- Jeff Iverson via cmhGate - Net 226 fido<=>uucp gateway Col, OH UUCP: ...!osu-cis!n8emr!cmhgate!107!563!Jeff.Iverson INET: Jeff.Iverson@f563.n107.z1.FIDONET.ORG
