[comp.sys.mac.hypercard] Proper way to specify path name for files with spaces involved?

gft_robert@gsbacd.uchicago.edu (11/22/89)

I'm trying to print a high-resolution picture from within HC by using the
"print doc with app" command. That is, if I want to print the MacDraw picture
"Map 1" I would do: print "Map 1" with MacDraw.

OK, but now it gets a bit tricky. The files I want to print are located on a
server, called (quite originally :_>): SERVER. I know I need to use a full
path name. I can get it to work if I leave spaces out some of the folder names
and out of my doc name, but when my doc is named something like "map 1", it
won't work. (Sample path name is SERVER:Information Systems:Robert
Anthony:hi-res pics:map. 1). If I change the folder "hi-res pics" to "hrp" and
"map. 1" to "mp", it works.

I've tried putting the path name in a variable, and I've tried putting quotes
around it and putting it in a variable. What's the proper way to do it?

Any info appreciated!

Robert
