I am contemplating the design and development of a HyperCard stack to
facilitate the administrative details of running a typical TSD car rally.
The stack would handle car, driver, and navigator registration up front,
rally scoring and printing of final results at the end. It would also have
cards to assist the Rallymaster in computing 'Official' leg times, distances,
etc. Initial design assumes limits of 12 checkpoints and 100 cars, but these
could be changed. The initial design would also allow for multiple Macs
dealing with different stacks to allow for multi-user inputting of data into
different stacks. Only the scoring part would have to access all the stacks
to determine final car standings.
My question is: before I get started, I don't want to be re-inventing
anybody's wheel. Does this sort of thing already exist? If the answer is no,
the next question is: is anybody besides me interested in this sort of thing?
