[net.micro] SCCS on a pc??

vch@rruxo.UUCP (V. Hatem) (04/16/85)

Does anyone know where I can get SCCS for my xt?? Does the new ATT pc unix
have it?? Help, please!

I'm not shure if any other kind of unix has SCCS or not, but ,of course,
we're using ATT System V. (SCCS is a system for archiving source files)

Yes, SCCS is available as an add-on package for the AT&T UNIX PC 7300;
which has all sorts of UNIX and MS-DOS goodies. Call 800-247-7000.
They'll answer your questions and mail you the glossies.

Vince, SCCS is not for archieving source files, it is for controlling
access/modifications to source. SCCS runs on an XT, I'm tinkered with it on
PC/IX

PC/IX has it and Venix system V is supposed to have it.

In addition, IBM offers IBM XENIX for their PC/AT which provides SCCS,
Make and C and Assembler cross-development tools for PC-DOS. Both the
assembler and compiler appear to be compatabile to the Micorsoft tools
available for PC-DOS. A special feature of the MS C compiler is that,
in addition to the typical memory model configurations, it also allows
support of mixed-model configurations using near and far directives in
the source code. Contact your local computer store to find out more
about pricing and availability.
