NOTE: To 8087-2 users working with Microsoft Compilers An incompatibility with the non-maskable interrupt handler will cause the machine to hang when running programs that detect 8087 exceptions, e.g. Divide by Zero, Square Root of a negative number. Entering the following code in the Debugger will remedy the problem. You will be notified of a more permanent fix, when available, if you return the card below. Enter the following commands: DEBUG <CR> Oa0,80 <CR> Q <CR> This command must be re-entered each time the PC 6300 is booted, or when the reset button has been pushed. A soft re-boot, CNTL-ALT-DEL, will NOT require the command to be re-entered. <CR> means to press the RETURN key. The DEBUG program may be found on the MS-DOS Supplemental Programs Diskette supplied with the MS-DOS Users Guide. ________________________________________________________________ Mail to: AT&T Information Systems HOT LINE 485 Route 1 South Parkway Tower C 3rd Floor Iselin, N.J. 08830 Send a more permanent 8087-2 fix, when available to: NAME _______________________________ ADDRESS _______________________________ _______________________________ CITY ___________________STATE ______ ZIP __________
