I don't mean to gush, but I just got a copy of ScriptEdit and it is great. I've only had it for two days, so I still have not used all its features, but it is an XCMD/DA that you install in your home stack, then can access wherever you want. You can have four scripts open at a time, it will append to the clipboard (as well as replace), you can auto-insert any Hypertalk reserved word into scripts (pick from pop-up menus), comment or un-comment lines with a command key, find and replace in scripts, compare scripts for differences, and display scripts using all the usual fonts and attributes. The best feature of all (IMHO) is the "Objects" window, which is scrolling list of all the buttons, fields, and objects on the current card, background, and stack, and you can set filter buttons to see a subset of those things. So instead of editing a script, bouncing back to the card, selecting another object, opening the script, cutting something, closing the script, going back to the card, selecting an object, opening the script, and pasting, you: select both objects from the object list. Double-clicking opens a window for each object. Cut from one window and paste directly to the other window. Done. Actually, the best part is the price: $49 from MacConnection. If you call now, you can have it tomorrow (god, I love overnight delivery).
