Sorry if it bursts your plans, but I heard the file format for hypercard was PROPRIETARY! I asked a panel of Apple developers (at CD-ROM conference in SanFrancisco) that same question: Me: I love the mac, but my company uses a lot of IBM. Is there any way to use Stacks from another platform. Apple: <silence> (then) That wouldn't be in our best interest ... The Hypercard format is proprietary Hmph. So much for the "computer for the rest of us". Sure - if the rest of us ALL HAVE MACINTOSHES! BTW: my source in the "hyper" world expects that PLUS for the PC will NEVER see the light of day in the US. Time will tell. vanover@atc.boeing.com

As far as Hypercard/Supercard for Sun platforms, I have a copy of HyperNeWS 1.3, which provides something very much like Supercard, but based on NeWS. I like it a great deal, and use it for user interface rapid prototyping. If you are inside Boeing and would like a copy, let me know. Otherwise, it is available via anonymous ftp from tumtum.cs.umd.edu in ~ftp/NeWS/HyperNeWS1.3. If there is any interest, I could post the README description file (about 1 page). -- Chris Esposito | CSNET: chrise@atc.boeing.com Boeing Advanced Technology Center | uucp: ...!uw-june!bcsaic!chrise
