[comp.sys.mac.hypercard] Saving Stack from Stack and Copying Files

jfmjfm@ruddles.sprl.umich.edu (John F. Mansfield) (06/28/90)

Two questions:

1. I would like to save a copy of my stack if it is opened and it is
above a certain size, trouble is I want this to happen without the user
knowing this and it seems that if I do the menu command "save a copy..." I
get a standard file dialog that wants me to confirm the name. Is there a
way to simply save a copy without being prompted for the name? and issue
the name I want for the copy from the script?

2. I want to have a stack that contains information about files and
programs on a disk and then if the user of the stack wants a copy of the
file or program the stack would aask the user if they have floppy disks,
and if so have the user insert them and copy the files to the floppies.
Is there a copy file xcmd or xfcn?

Many thnaks, please reply by mail as I do not usually read this newsgroup.
