Aside from the fact that HC is probably not busting any budgets at Apple, there are reasons for HC to exist. Unless Apple decides to bundle something like earlier years, HC is the only standard Mac program that is widely useable. It's also one of the most useable programs in it's own right when you consider being able to program it, which would otherwise require you to take up a 'real' language. Also, the Deeloper Tech Services stacks are usually considered indespensable by developers and used heavily by the more technically oriented. Perhaps others could suggest a better distribution format for these? In parting, don't overlook the work being done in the PC side of the universe to provide HyperCard functionality. The PC mags seem to be oodles (yes, I measured carefully) more enthusiastic about this type of program than others here.
