[comp.sys.mac.hypercard] supercard color text

greg@eos.UUCP (Greg Pisanich) (07/11/90)

Supercard 1.5 is supposed to support color text. I'm trying to cut color text
from Canvas, and paste it into supercard. But the text always turns to black.

What Am I doing wrong? Help!

Color text in SuperCard 1.5...

I don't think you can paste color text from other applications unless
it is converted to graphics format and imported as a graphic resource.

Otherwise, use the SuperCard 1.5 way of making color text: Select the text
and in SuperEdit, popup the color palette from the lower, left corner color
box and select the foreground color and in SuperCard, open the colors
floating palette and click on the color of your choice.

Greg -

I'm afraid that you cannot paste in color text and have it remain
colored. The best you can do is paste in the text and recolor it.
(Now, if the text is part of a PICT2, that will remain colored.)
