[comp.sys.mac.hypercard] Hypercard 2.0 Beta

gwowen@gpu.utcs.utoronto.ca (George Owen) (07/11/90)

... just got a look at a beta sample of Hyper-Woop-De-Do 2.0. Looks
pretty neat-o 'cept for a few things.

It look like ( at least from what i saw ) that there will not be
any scroll bars for variable sized windows !!! The interface for
scrolling was much like the one that the original MacPaint used -
you move the visible area around with a pointer. Yes , that means
NO SCROLL BARS !!! ( at least in the version I saw )

  ... more info to come.

Correct. However, we think you will like the other ways we are giving your
to scroll card windows. Please reserve judgement...

... sorry , this comment was meant more as an observation then a criticism !

One of the things I realized was how confusing it could be to an 'average'
( tee-hee ! ) user if they encountered a stack that had multiple scroll-
ing fields; all them scroll bars all over the place could be darn
   confusing !!!!!

... question ... what 'other' ways ARE you giving us , pray tell ? :-)
