I was wondering if anyone could explain a problem I just had. I tried to launch a HC stack and got the "application is busy or missing dialog". Further investigation revealed that many of the stacks on my drives were said to be "HyperCheck documents" in the finder and getinfo dialogs. Only those stacks in the same folder as HyperCard were listed as HyperCard docs. The file and creator types were normal and these stacks would open from HC, but not from the finder. I could launch the affected stacks from DiskTop. I tried rebuilding the desktop, this made no difference. Then I noticed a stack called "HyperCheck" on one of my drives. I downloaded this stack a couple of weeks ago and hadn't played with it yet. I copied this stack to another disk (which contained a stack which now shows up as a HyperCheck document) and deleted it from my hard disk. Now all my HyperCard stacks launch properly from the finder and show up as HyperCard documents. I should have mentioned that I ran Disinfection 2.0 on my drives and no problems files were discovered. Does anyone know what's going on here? Anyone want a copy othe HyperCheck stack? Thanks for your help. Keith Keith@ac.dal.ca
