I would like to get hold of a Hypercard book that would introduce Hypercard programming in a manner similar to say Grogono on Pascal, or K+R on C. Namely, I'd like to see the chapters be on the order of Expressions Loops Branching Function and Subroutines I/O and so forth. The intro to scripting book from Apple talked mostly about sound effects and visual effects. It didn't bother to talk about how to set up a program where the effects could augment the program rather than _be_ the program. The Hypercard books I've seen at bookstores have basically followed Apple's lead on this. I'm hoping that was just my bad luck. I'll summarize if there are more than, say, five responses. Please do answer by e-mail. I have a sneaking suspicion that this question is not uncommon (though perhaps not in this form). Thanks, Bob Grumbine a.k.a. rmg3@psuvm.psu.edu
