Okay, I know I have no constitutional right to have Hypercard or even to buy it. But I think it's a shame that something Apple is going to give away free anyway is still not available. I wouldn't mind paying the $50 that much. But what's the phone number? Are they in stock? And it's not going to be available for FTP. I looked today and saw the new ftp.apple.com machine. Something's up with the permissions so I could only take a look at a directory listing. "d e v e l o p" and "spinside mac" are there (or will be shortly I presume) as well as umpteen versions of HC 1.2.5. No 2.0. It would be so easy. But now if I want it I have to scrounge around and see if I can steal it from one of the "privileged." I will be surprised if 2.0 is available for purchase before the end of the year. I want to like Apple but it's so HARD ! :-) -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------ | Len Saaf, The Institute of Optics, Univ. of Rochester, Rochester, NY | | Internet: saaf@joker.optics.rochester.edu Bitnet: SAAF@UOROPT | ------------------------------------------------------------------------

Meanwhile, you can get the five distribution disks from most user groups. All that's missing is the documentation...but the disks include the full online help system.
