I've tried to run HC together with the oldest keyboard for the Macintosh (the small one without the numerical keyboard). This type of keyboard works fine with all programs but HC! When you enter text into a field from that keyboard, pushing the space-key sends an enterKey message to the fld, and the field is closed. The result of this bug (?) is thatalltextinfieldslooklikethis:nospace, unless you use clipboard to paste a " " between every word. The space-key works in the script-editor but not in the flds! I've seen this problem with HC 2.0 and according to a friend, it's the same with the other versions. I've tried it on a MacPlus and an upgraded 512, with three different small keyboards (Swedish) with the same result. All the other (non-ADB) keyboards works OK. Has anyone else seen this problem?

The problem occurs only when you use the old 59-key international keyboard. It doesn't occur with the old 58-key U.S. keyboard. (If you look at Inside Mac, Volume I, pp. 250-251, you'll see one of the reasons why.) Fortunately, the world's leading expert on HyperCard's translation of keypresses into operations is Martin Gannholm, who's looking into this problem even as I write.
