In my original posting, I told of problems making the Oracle for Mac system work with HyperCard 2.0: > I just tried to convert my Oracle for Macintosh, ver 1.2 > (single user version) over to HyperCard 2.0. I had no luck. I've had several responses to the post, both locally (thanks Kevin) and over the net. It seems that I gave the primary clue in the original post: > I converted the "Oracle System Scack" to HC2 and copied > the XCMDs to the HC2 Home stack. (I guess that wasn't really > necessary since they're also in the System stack.) It seems as if HC2 is sensitive to having (at least some) XCMDs in two places. The whole thing works fine if the XCMD is in *either* the System stack or the Home stack, but *not* both. I've been informed that some other (non-Oracle) XCMDs have the same problem. All of the responses I've received have either agreed with this or not contradicted it. I've decided to move the Oracle XCMDs to the Home stack so that I don't have to add them to every stack I make (I'm not distributing my stacks anywhere). Thanks to all who helped me (especially you, Kevin)! Bill Innanen -- William G. Innanen Johns Hopkins Univ/Applied Physics Lab (Internet) wgi@aplcomm.jhuapl.edu
