[comp.sys.mac.hypercard] Kermit,XModem,YModem in hypercard?

gf07+@andrew.cmu.edu (Gordon Maskew Fair, III) (10/31/90)

Hello,

Has there been a stack created that will allow one to use all the
kermit, and/or xmodem, and/or ymodem commands? If there is anything
somewhat like this I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks in advance,

Gordon

A have implemented Kermit protocol for HyperTalk. It was quite an easy job.
XMODEM protocol could be found from HyperCard Serial Toolbox which is
ftp'able from sumex (or apple.com).
In my HyperTalk-Kermit there is only Send, receive, and get-commands, but
all the others are easy to install. I didn't myself need other commands
than those above, but maybe sometimes I'll upgrade it to full-function version.
If you are interested in my scripting let me know, but right now I'm little
bit busy with finishing my thesis before end of this week.

I can't seem to reply to you by email, so I'm posting this to
the net.

I'd be very intersted in your code, as what I'm writing (a Hypercard
front end for Paul Lansky's CMix) could use Kermit protocols.
Would you be willing to email it out to people or post it to the
net?

Thanks

Sean Varah
