Hello and Help! I just finished loading HC 2.0 and converted a stack that is the main application used on this mac. It is a front end stack for an Oracle database. On the first card of this stack is a button called "Log On" that starts up the Oracle database (if necessary) and logs the user on. There are two commands to start up the Oracle database. They are: send "loadOracle" to "hard:Oracle:System Stack" send "startOracle" to "hard:Oracle:System Stack" When I click on the "Log On" button, I get a Hypercard error box with the informative message: "Can't understand this.". If I look at the script, the cursor is pointing to the first "send" message above. Did something change in HC 2.0 which affects the functioning of the "send" command? I looked at the new Hypertalk Reference stack and the format of the send command looks ok based on that. If anyone has a clue as to what the problem is, can you please contact me ASAP by private e-mail. I cannot call Oracle for support because I do not have support - their annual support fees exceed the price I paid for the software (a gripe I will not bore you with...). Anyways, I am now stuck: I had to remove the old HC to make room on my hard disk for the new stuff. I have my old diskettes as well as copies of the stacks I converted, but I'd prefer not to go backwards if I can avoid it! Thanks in advance. +-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ | | | Robin Goldstone, Systems Software Specialist | | California State University, Chico Computing Services | | rgoldstone@oavax.csuchico.edu | | | +-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+
