I would like to print a field which contains a nicely formatted user's guide. The field is small, but contains 8K characters. If I do this: print bg fld "Explanation" of card "Title Card" I get the text printed out with my fancy styling, but "snaked" like a newspaper (multiple columns). I want my help text to come out in one column. Any hints? Please send responses directly to me, I will post the "best" back to comp.sys.mac.hypercard. - David Mittman DMittman@Beowulf.JPL.NASA.GOV

Printing fields from HC2.0 is a modal operations. IEther you get AALL the styles or you get NONE of the styles including margins. You might try changing the width of the field to the width of your paper. You could do this under script control so no one would see it. I expect it should print only one column and conserve your formatting. Good Luck.
