If you're considering buying Focal Point II, don't. I just bought it thinking that the reputation of Danny Goodman would guarantee a good product. Well, it was a good product, but the company handling the marketing doesn't understand the concept of upgrades and program maintenance. It will run fine with Hypercard 1.2.2 and System 6.0.4 on the 'old' machines like a plus or II, but has nasty bugs with the new macs and Hypercard 2.0. I just tried comverting it to Hypercard 2.0 on my SE, and it deleted cards without warning, hangs will printing, and general is un-usable. I thought that most hypercard stacks would be immune to that sort of thing, but the XCMD's, and espeically the init in FP2 caused the problems. Our parent company, Mediagenic, has decided to devote resources to the development of entertainment software. We will continue to support this software for use on compatible systems.
