[comp.sys.mac.hypercard] Setting card size via HyperTalk

dano@farcomp.UUCP (Dan Callaway) (02/06/91)

Is there a way to set the size of a card via HyperTalk? This is the only
HyperCard 2.0 feature that I can't seem to control with a script. I can
make the card size larger in the "Stack info" dialog only.

The syntax to change the size of the cards in the current stack (same
as the "Resize" button in Stack Info) is

set the rect of [card] to [rect]

e.g.

set the rect of this card to "0,0,342,512"

If you just want to change the window size (without losing ornaments and
paint from outside the new rectangle), you'll use

set the rect of card window to [rect]
